The TX/OK AIDS Education & Training Center is proud to announce "A Webinar Series on Women & HIV: Clinical Concepts from WHICC", a webinar series consisting of experts in the field of treating women with HIV, which will feature an interactive web-based approach to learning.
Course Description
Disparities exist in the delivery of care and treatment for women with HIV infection, particularly for racial minorities. This course is designed to provide physicians and other healthcare professionals with increased knowledge on best evidence-based medicine and practice protocols related to patient centered, sex specific comprehensive care that decreases barriers among minorities and women. Attendees will gain effective strategies to address women specific issues when they present with HIV infection. The ultimate goal of this continuing education activity is to change performance of physicians and other healthcare providers in an effort to improve health outcomes for women with HIV .

Technical Information
The webinar will be broadcast LIVE via the Internet including audio, the speaker's image, and PowerPoint presentation via Adobe Connect Pro.
Each session will be 75 minutes in total length. Each presenter will speak for approximately 60 minutes with 15 minutes for Q&A.
Presentations are designed to enhance audience interaction, therefore participants will be asked to participate in polling questions throughout the presentation.
